Yai's On Vermont

People seem to like this place; I suppose this chain is sort of a Thai version of Dennys. It's cheap, and the food smells good, but there are better options, probably mere blocks away in Thai town. There is a certain mediocrity to the food at Yai, yet it's filling and OK if you're not too picky. I usually just get take-out here; the Pad Thai was Pad Dry as in dry, rather lifeless noodles. I am suspect of shrimp in most restaurants, so asked for it with chicken, which was also...dry and dull. Thus I cannnot recommend this place wholeheartedly, despite the fact I have gone there several times due to its convenient location.

Great family atmosphere, the cooks are known for their delicious dishes, and dedication to making any dish you'd like made just right for you.
